I arrived just in time to get wrapped and to meet Chiarelli's friend, Kelley. I heard Tony yelling to hit the trail outside, so here comes my sunshine. I started to have flashbacks of Cisco's class when I almost upchucked from all the running. As we rounded the first corner outside, I heard Tony say, "We are going 2!" So, Chiarelli & I decided to just keep a nice steady pace. Chiarelli said, "I'm running at Fank's pace today." Since I only have 1 speed set for distance running, it's a stumbling block for me to be at a sprint. I don't want to blow all my energy upfront, I like to savor it to make sure the tank is not empty. By the time we were done, I'm guessing it was about 1/2 mile or so distance. I was trying to get my breathing in sync, but was having a hard time trying to carry on a conversation with Chiarelli. Usually, it takes me a mile + a half to completely warm-up and settle into a good pace with relaxed breathing.
Once we returned back inside, we continued to warm up while incorporating some ab work, squats, push-ups, and mountain climbers. I was liking Tony's quick change method. If struggling with something, the quick change gives you some relief. I was getting pumped up, despite a little soreness from 2 back-to-back hard core Kickboxing sessions the last 2 days. I was ready to hit that bag!
As we started in on some punches, I was loving it! I got my breathing in sync and it felt good to get some power going. I was sweating buckets at this point and all the impurities were saying farewell:) As the class continued, I began to struggle more but just kept going. I looked over at Chiarelli a few times to give her the look of OMG! She responded back with the same look.
As we laid flat on our backs to start the ab work, the sweat was just burning my eyes worse than ever before. I continued through for about a minute with my eyes closed and hoping it would subside. Once it did, I was ready to take on the world. I knew we were on the home stretch and could see the end. I could not wait to get back out in the sunshine!
| Kelley~Tony~Becky~Chiarelli Ladies~ Thanks for welcoming me back to Missouri! Tony~ Thanks for the new perspective and little insight today! |
After class, I chatted with Tony for a few and got a pic. We talked about the different trainers he knows in the Title arena. I learned that the first class he took was with Master Melvin. He had not worked out for about 6 months and he DID upchuck during the workout. He also attends our very own, Jason Lawson's Kick class @ The 7-6.
I drove away in the sunshine headed back to The OP listening to...Buck Cherry (Live!). Music cranked in the mini van with a crowd of people screaming, windows down, and a great rest of the day waiting for me.
